Best Bollywood Songs of 2017

While 2017 did not see the highs of previous years in terms of exceptional soundtracks, there were a wide variety of songs which did leave their mark on our hearts through their soulful compositions, heart-wrenching lyrics and soothing renditions. 

Below are the highlights of bollywood music this year:

• Most composers roped in Arijit Singh to sing for them again this year and he did a splendid job across ALL the songs he offered to us in his enigmatic voice
• Amitabh Bhattacharya and Kausar Munir kept our hopes alive in the existence of meaningful lyrics in Bollywood
• Many old songs were remixed into their new age versions this year - some for the better and some for the worst
• Pritam was the only composer who offered musical hits across multiple albums this year - Jab Harry Met Sejal, Jagga Jasoos, Raabta and Tubelight
• It was disappointing to see limited opportunities for female playback singers to shine this year. Although, we did find a great debut in Meghna Mishra who gave strength to Insiya's character through her powerful voice in Secret Superstar
