My Favourite Ghazals #2 - Ranjish Hi Sahi

This is a popular ghazal written by the famous poet Ahmed Faraz. It was originally sung by Iqbal Bano and later popularised by the Shahanshah-e-Ghazal Mehdi Hassan. It has also been attempted by other singers like Hariharan and Runa Laila. Even new age singers like Papon and Ali Sethi have tried to revive it through their renditions in MTV Unplugged and MTV Coke Studio respectively. Check out their individual renditions below: Iqbal Bano version Mehdi Hassan version Runa Laila version Hariharan version Papon version Ali Sethi version Lyrics:

Check out their individual renditions below: Ghulam Ali version Noor Jehan version Asha Bhosle version Jagjit Singh version Lyrics:

Best Bollywood Songs of 2018

2018 was an average year for fresh bollywood music as a lot of music directors relied on reviving/ remixing old hits to sell their albums. But, of all the craze and madness which ruled the radio stations through the year, there were a few songs which were melodious and soulful. Below are the highlights of bollywood music for 2018: Almost all big music directors roped in Arijit Singh to sing at least one song in each of their music albums, and he continues to do a splendid job on each of his renditions. Atif Aslam made a comeback with many of his songs ruling the charts through the year. We also had Ajay-Atul bless Bollywood with their genre of music in Dhadak and Zero. Amit Trivedi kept his brand of music alive in Pad Man, Manmarziyaan and Andhadhun. Although, there were many other albums where he did not impress as much. Top Bollywood Albums for  2018:   Dhadak, Raazi, Manmarziyaan, Padmaavat, Andhadhun Here are my top favorite melodies of the year 2018. Hop...
