Best Bollywood Songs of 2017

While 2017 did not see the highs of previous years in terms of exceptional soundtracks, there were a wide variety of songs which did leave their mark on our hearts through their soulful compositions, heart-wrenching lyrics and soothing renditions.

Below are the highlights of bollywood music this year:

Most composers roped in Arijit Singh to sing for them again this year and he did a splendid job across ALL the songs he offered to us in his enigmatic voice
Amitabh Bhattacharya and Kausar Munir kept our hopes alive in the existence of meaningful lyrics in Bollywood
Many old songs were remixed into their new age versions this year - some for the better and some for the worst
Pritam was the only composer who offered musical hits across multiple albums this year - Jab Harry Met Sejal, Jagga Jasoos, Raabta and Tubelight
It was disappointing to see limited opportunities for female playback singers to shine this year. Although, we did find a great debut in Meghna Mishra who gave strength to Insiya's character through her powerful voice in Secret Superstar
